Our Mission Statement

Victim Outreach Information (VOI) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization whose mission is to support victims of crime and other trauma, empowering them to access resources that protect their rights and promote safety, healing and hope.

We provide crisis intervention, information about victim's rights and the criminal justice system, and offer referrals to help clients deal with the resulting trauma and life changes.

We value the personal safety of individuals, the safety of the community and the constitutional rights of crime victims. We believe in empowering persons to move beyond victimization, back to a state of relative normalcy for them. We especially believe in the processing of trauma as a tool in recovery and in providing resources that help the victim. We also view interagency communication, education and cooperation as critical to the success of accomplishing our mission.

With the goal of helping victims and witnesses deal with the trauma and life change that result from criminal acts, advocates provide immediate emotional support. We help victims predict and prepare for the affects of the trauma and how to cope. They are informed of their rights as afforded by the Colorado Constitution and educated about the criminal justice process. Advocates also help victims access emergency services including food, shelter and financial assistance. On-going support is provided throughout the criminal justice process.
